Feature Release: Public API

IT Glue™ is excited to announce the limited release of a public application program interface (API), the first new feature release of 2017. This is big.
The momentum behind our new API began with our recent integration with Warranty Master. Now, with the public API, developers can integrate third-party tools with IT Glue going forward, something that can dramatically enhance the IT Glue experience for our partners.
The API will provide programmatic access to read and write your account data. You can use this to connect with third-party tools and PSAs for which we do not currently have integration.
This new API will make use of the Representational State Transfer (REST) architecture, which is based on open standards, meaning you can use any web development language to access the API.
The API also works well to streamline the new client onboarding process, helping you bring in customer relationship management (CRM) and configuration information you want into IT Glue. We are already working on the next step, which is to add full support for your custom flexible assets, opening the doors to whatever catches your fancy.

The public API is currently available as a limited release, and is available to Enterprise partners now if they submit a support request. If you are a third-party app developer who would like access to the API, please contact IT Glue directly, or alternately whichever partner you are going to be working with.
