Feature Release: Contacts and Locations in IT Glue’s Mobile App

You’ve been asking for more functionality out of the IT Glue mobile app. Now, we’re delivering. Our latest updates allow you to view Contacts and Locations on the IT Glue mobile app, ensuring you have the functionality you need to do your job, wherever you are. Let’s take a deeper look.
What’s new
We created our mobile app back in 2017, and since then we’ve been constantly making updates, leading to today where we’ve now added Contacts and Locations. These updates incorporate native mobile functionality like the ability to click-to-call and to launch your native map app with a simple click of the address. If your onsite techs need to make a quick call, or even just need GPS directions to a client’s office, they can access all of that on their phone with a brief click of a button.
Now I’ll step back a bit. In case you’re in need of a recap, this means you can now view Contacts, Locations, Configurations, and Flexible Assets on the app.
How does it work?
Let’s say a technician just finished up at a client site and receives a call to do another site visit nearby to troubleshoot a workstation. Within seconds, the tech can look up the location in the IT Glue mobile app and get directions. Plus, all it takes is a quick call to the office manager upon arrival to get checked in. The IT Glue mobile app can then help with the troubleshooting component, using Contact, Configuration, and Password details.
From emergencies to conducting business onsite, or simply being away from your computer for whatever reason, you can have confidence that any member of your team can find what they need in the IT Glue mobile app.
The app is available for both Apple and Android and if you haven’t downloaded it already, we highly recommend it.
