GlueCon Day Two Recap
BY IT GLUE | September 18, 2018
We knew that the first day of GlueCon would be a tough act to follow, but Day Two was something else. Where to start? Ok, first there was the Q3 Product Overview. That was two major features, three integrations and our own certified training program. You can read all the details here.
Keynotes
We had two more keynotes to take the stage – Steve Lewis and Gary Pica – each having run successful MSPs and who now apply what they’ve learned through those experiences to helping other MSP owners maximize their business potential. Gary Pica’s take on the MSP space is always worth listening to, and it was great to see him in prime form. Sponsor keynotes included the always-entertaining Rob Rae from Datto and Hal Lonas of Webroot, delving into AI and threat intelligence.
The Amazons
The Amazons panel brought together some of the most powerful women in the channel to discuss the value of female leadership, and the future of women in tech. This was an incredibly insightful panel, highlighting the challenges women face to become leaders in the channel, and how they’ve achieved their successes.
Afternoon Breakouts
The afternoon features two tracks – a business track with talks on organizational culture, leadership and M&A, and an IT Glue-focused track where our partners could learn how to leverage our open API to build their own integrations, and learn how to price, package and optimize deployment of MyGlue.
In Closing
GlueCon 2018 wrapped up with Luis Giraldo providing the closing remarks, and showcasing the results of GlueX. For two days, one of our development teams worked on the second part of the new GlueFiles feature – it’s getting very close now.
A meet and greet with the team provided one last opportunity for MSPs to chat with some of the people making magic happen behind the scenes.
It was also announced that GlueCon 2019 will be held on September 15-17th, once again at the Phoenician. We’ve got more space next year, but once word gets out about this year, that space will disappear quickly. There’s a Super Early Bird offer to buy GlueCon 2019 tickets for $499, but this offer expires September 30th and the number of seats is capped so don’t delay.
‘Til next year!
