Feature Release: Introducing Notifications for IT Glue

IT Glue™ just launched a powerful new feature — Notifications. Never miss an expiration again, and use it to make document or password updates instantly visible. Start freeing the minds of your IT crew!

The Notifications feature promises to revolutionize how you use IT Glue by turning information stored in IT Glue into actionable items automatically.

What it does

Notifications will allow our partners to send emails, Slack alerts, or trigger an almost endless number of other actions thanks to the power of webhooks, when things change, expire or are about to expire in IT Glue.

What this means

It means enhanced scalability, and efficiency. Instead of manually tracking when items with an expiry date are going to expire, IT Glue will send you a notification when it is upcoming. You choose how you want to receive the notification, and when, based on your needs. This means you spend less time tracking expirations, and can move straight to dealing with the issue proactively. Your clients get enhanced service from you, and you get a more efficient operation.

Examples

Let’s say you have a warranty expiring soon. You can schedule a notification to be alerted 30 days prior to the warranty expiration. You can choose the best way for you to receive this alert so that you can deal with it. If you want, you can create a ticket via the notifications feature so that you are starting to action the expiration immediately. You can set the timing of the alert, too, so that you receive it when you need it.
