IT Glue API Contest Winners Announced!
BY IT GLUE | September 20, 2019
Just in time for National Coding Week, we’ve got some winners to announce!
Last year at our user conference, we announced this contest and generated a lot of interest. The final tally was around 15 entries, with some folks submitting multiple entries. Our judge panel spent several weeks looking at the entries, evaluating their quality and overall awesomeness, and have settled on three winners. The winners were announced at the annual GlueX conference in Phoenix.
The third place winner is Leslie Vanbavinckhove from IT1 in Belgium. Leslie wrote a script that automates documentation of switches and firewalls.
The second place winner is Michael Page from ErrorFree IT in Adelaide, South Australia, who built an app for IT Glue Contacts. The app connects with the IT Glue API, so this is really one of those ideas that we might just have to put on our radar for development.
The grand prize winner is Elliot Munro of GCITS, in Gold Coast, Queensland.. If you’re into APIs, and especially Office products, you probably already know Elliot’s work. He won for his script to sync Office 365 tenant information into IT Glue.
Three cheers to all the winners, and all who entered.
If you’d like to take a look at the scripts yourself – there’s some really cool stuff in there – that’s going to be available on our GitHub repo.
To learn more about coding with IT Glue’s API, may we suggest the API white paper or our API for Beginners blog post for those who aren’t sure where to start.
Of course, the first step in using the IT Glue API is to actually have IT Glue. Why not take a look at our demo and see what the fuss is about?
